Meet Nancy-Lynne Walters

Hi there!

Nice to meet you! I’m Nancy-Lynne Walters. I was born and raised in Louisville. After graduation from Ballard High School, I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Journalism and Public & Environmental Affairs.

After college, I lived in various cities around the country working as a television news journalist and voice actor.

Of all the cities in which I lived, nothing warmed my heart as much as the great city of Louisville. So, at age 35 I moved back to my hometown to pursue a new career in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Currently I work for a biotech company in the neuroscience division in sales.

In my spare time I enjoy every moment possible with my teenage daughters, recording projects as a voice actor, and giving back to my community.

I am thrilled and excited to announce my candidacy for Metro Council District 17.

As a Louisville native I am excited about the possibilities ahead of us to grow our city to be its very best. 

As a Mother of two teenage daughters, I understand why it is eminent that our beloved city elevate itself in the following areas: 

1) public safety

2) infrastructure 

3) economic growth 

As a woman who was born and raised in Louisville, and is raising her children in Louisville, I am devoted to making my hometown safer. 

I am committed to ensuring our roads, sidewalks and public buildings are safe and accessible. 

I am dedicated to putting maximum effort behind ensuring our current employers in District 17 and Louisville are thrilled to operate in Louisville, and will do my very best to attract new employers to our area. 

Through decades of volunteer work, I have learned you can have a family, a career, and give back to your community. I am excited to demonstrate this to my daughters again - and am hoping to inspire others to do the same. 

Thank you for your support and I look forward to meeting as many people in District 17 as possible in the next few months!
